Development of heavy metal removal technology for Giant Squid hydrolyzed protein
From the discards of Giant Squid we produce a protein hydrolyzed. However, this mollusk accumulates heavy metals in its tissues and digestive gland, which we have managed to remove through scale tests and experimental and pilot designs.
Obtaining high purity collagen from Giant Squid
Giant squid has high degrees of concentration of collagen, a protein that provides resistance and flexibility to the tissues of the human body. Corfo (Chilean Development Corporation) and Pasteur Laboratory are strategic partners in this project that seeks to develop a nutritional supplement with a pharmaceutical standard.
